General Description 

The Invisible Barrier System (IBS) 300 series is a machine mounted system. The IBS-300 is an active thermographic protetive system for work areas were personnel are exposed to hazardous machinery or processes.

The system consists of at least two sensor pods and an evaluation unit. The sensor pod uses passive infrared (PIR) to detect human motion within the protective zone The evaluation unit contains the control and monitoring functions.

  • Semiconductor output for Restart function permission (The restart function must be configured in compliance with ISO 13849 by the system integrator.)

  • Event logging function with 6-month history 

Safety Features 

The IBS-300 system meets the following safety requirements:

  • The system is redundant with built-in monitoring 
  • The safety function (shutdown initiated by a safeguard) remains effective in the case of a component failure.
  • The correct opening and closing of the safety functions are automatically tested in each on-off cycle.
  • The correct detection and subsequent opening and closing of the safety sensor functions are automatically tested periodically 
  • Achieves Performace Level (PL-D) Category 4 architecture with a diagnostic coverage of 99%
